Forlorn Horizon Facts

I was going to publish a bit of info each week about the comic, but I'm feeling impatient, so here are a few things you didn't know:

-Nolton was named after Nolton Haven, a bay in SW Wales.

-Holst is named after Gustav Holst, famous composer of "The Planets"

-Eldon is named after a pub in Leeds near the University. And also shares similarities with the province of Eldin in Zelda: Twilight Princess.

-A few of the first fans may know that in the early days the comic was called Steel Horizon. Then I discovered that there was a game by this title so I changed it. Plus it sounds cheesy now.

-An alternate name for Eldon was Elchester. This is my "generic english town name" and felt cheesy too. So Eldon was picked.

-North Bergenstein was originally my silly country on the online game Nation States. I kind of wish I picked a better name.

-Westphalia is a province in Germany and a geological time period in certain date systems.

-Drake was named so because I wanted an old fashioned English name for him.

-Originally Mark could have been called Michael.

-Mark comes from Westhoughton (see cast page). This is the town I lived in when I was very young.

-When I used to play games with my little cousin many many years ago, Valoria was just the Eastern Empire.
